Charlotte Smith, MD105 Young Ambassador, sponsored by Birchwood Lions Club of District BN, represented the Multiple District with distinction at the final of the European Young Ambassador Competition, in Brussels last weekend.
After a 25 minute interview by a panel of judges, Charlotte delivered a dynamic and compelling presentation about her many service activities both at home and overseas. The assembled Lions were in awe of her achievements and extremely impressed by the passion and commitment that she displayed.
Charlotte so impressed the judges that she was awarded the first prize of €3,500 which she intends to use to improve the facilities at the orphanage in South Africa which she visits regularly.
Charlotte was presented with her trophy, by the International President Lion Wayne Madden pictured above along with PID Lion Phil Nathan, before addressing all the delegates at the Europa Forum.
