Lions Clubs International have a long standing relationship with the United Nations and to celebrate this a “United Nations Day” event was held at the Palace of Westminster, London on 13^th March 2012.

The Patron of Lions Clubs in British Isles, Her Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex, attended together with our International President Dr Wing-Kun Tam.

Speakers were International President Tam, Maureen Maguire the Federation President of Soroptomist GB & Ireland and from UNICEF Jane Kellas, an expert in Child Survival. Lions donate towards the UNICEF “School in a Box” which is used to help continue child education in time of disasters.
